You can always get a clean pixie cut, and still have volume. Better that than impossibly thin wisps just kind of lay flat on your scalp. I'm not complaining, I talk from experience. My hair is thick, brown and super curly...but I like it. I have to take care of it so much; untangle the mess, take the perfect amount of showers, put in anti-frizz spray etc. But it rewards me by being full of volume and easy to find lots of hairstyles for. Just wearing it plain open is a hairstyle lots of girls wish to have.

I agree. My hair is also curly, brown and ridiculously thick. It's sooo hard to take care of: I need to use a ton of shampoo and conditioner, a lot of anti-frizz product, and I can only comb it when it's wet or else it turns into a bushy frizz-ball. But I'd still rather have to deal with all that than have hair so thin I practically looked like I was balding and never had any volume ever.

You can thin it. That's what I did, though I'm not sure if it's a common thing because I cut my own hair. What I did was get a razor comb and kinda comb my hair on the inside. I did it too thin, but the point is it worked!

I have naturally curly hair and I hate how thick it is but when I straighten it it feels too and I hate that too... It's a hard life.

When it's thick you can always get it thinned out, but thin hair you'd have to get extensions to make it look thicker.

My hair is super thin but it's easy to deal with. Whenever I want to straighten it or do stuff like that it only takes a few minutes. And no, my hair doesn't make me look like I'm balding and yes, it is possible to have volume with thin hair.
