It's not that we don't understand that people do that. Seriously. Yes, animal cruelty is a thing that exists. But you're not going to pout a stop to it by being //personally offended// by every facetious comment acknowledging its fucking existence. Yes, it's wrong. but so is murder and there are countless jokes about that literally everywhere. stop ruining everyone's lighthearted fun because YOU feel better when you're not being reminded what a shitty world we're in. Why are you putting words in my mouth? Or is that some form of hypnosis where you tell me what I believe about myself and I agree? Either way, not working. If you say something and call it a joke....it doesn't mean it is. "your mother should've aborted you...Just Kidding!!" "the holocaust was awesome.....psyche!" Still not funny. I can take a joke and I love comedy. This isn't it. Comedy is supposed to be light and cathartic, not about dead animals or like my other examples.

Many times. I check back every few hours. I'm not offended by everything. Generalizations so broad and hyperbolic lose their meaning. Anyway, this had turned into an argument of me defending my sense of humor instead of what it began as, which is the fact this isn't a joke and calling some stupid statement comedy doesn't make it so. I will concede that comedy and humor are subjective, with that being said, having the opposite effect of normal comedy (e.g. Revulsion, negative feelings, negative thoughts) would be antithetical to comedic. I suppose this type of comedy is the comedic equivalent to the art world's dada movement, with the express purpose of not being funny. Other than that....doesn't work.

I found the irony of that statement amusing because comedy is supposed to help you forget troubles and cares and worries. The forthcoming tips are much appreciated. I shall thoroughly pontificate upon their proper usage and application preceding further written communications. Just kidding :p I wasn't really trying to go out of my way to use extended or obscure vocabulary. It's just a predilection of mine. My main goal is just explaining my positions well and showing why I feel the way I do. It's humorous how often I've been thought to have been showing off or things like that. I don't do it to show off or for upvotes. I do it for clarity. I, feel using the correct wording makes your statements stronger. Now you know :) have a great day
