+214 They should make a colony for all the people with and their families with STDs so that the bacteria and viruses don't spread to 'clean' people and eventually die off. There are enough people with STDs for this to work, amirite?

*the Jewish faith *the Jewish faith You're quite the Nazi 2.0 there.

Its a series of the most dangerous and hard to cure diseases. I'm not like that with coughs and colds or even dengue. Its just freakin scary to think the guy you're talking to may have disgusting stuff in them. Also, it is their fault that they have STDs and shouldn't spread it to uninfected people. There are enough to create like a microcivilisation.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How is it their fault? People don't CHOOSE to get STDs. My aunt got an STD and it wasn't through sex or needle use. I don't think she should be punished for something that couldn't have been prevented by herself. Nor should her family (being clean of STDs) have to go to a colony.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not always the person's fault if they have an STD. Regardless I agree that it is their responsibility to not spread it further.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, and while you're at it why not segregate all the homosexuals too, just incase AIDS finds its way back out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But the people within the colony would still have sex with each other and therefore creating babies who will also have STDs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not if her makes the babies go into a gas chamber. Thats probably his back up plan.

Welcome to Herpes World!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That would cause a 'super Disease' to mutate from such a civilisation, worse than what they were brought in for.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, it would cause a quickly dying colony of people riddled with AIDS and herpes. Combining viruses doesn't make better viruses. If it did, we'd all have died years ago.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wouldn't want to live in this colony because my brother has STD's.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This reminded me of this http://pokememes.memebase.com/2011/09/18/pokmon-the-hard-truth/ For my two cents, as long as it didn't turn into a reenactment of the holocaust it might be good to have everyone who could potentially spread a dangerous infection together in one place, and it would be easier to take care of their medical needs. But it would be hard to convince people that their civil rights were not being infringed upon. It's probably not a feasible idea.

Well, this is the dumbest thing ive ever read on amirite. Congratulations B10ckH34d.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

...yeah, this post and it's positive score in no way dwindles my faith in humanity.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's a good idea in theory but pretty unethical.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Tthe most common symptom of an STD is no symptom at all, and if there are symptoms, they may not manifest themselves for up to 6 months. Too many people have it and don't know for that to work. Good try, though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It seems like a good idea but I don't think that it would get rid of the disease, the people would just have new children that would also have it, and so on.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That might result in people not going to get tested (for fear of being positive and having to live in one of the colonies) and then spreading the diseases further because they don't know if they have one.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

While it might work, it would be cruel. It would be like leprosy all over again.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I want to clear some things up. There are millions, maybe a billion people with incurable STDs. We could make a country with proper amenities just like any other, but more racially and religiously diverse We amy even make it better, because it'll be a a combined effort of many countries, and we don't want people be scared to go there. The family will be allowed to choose whether or not they want to go. It may be a mitigating factor of getting an STD because living in such a place would make it less horrible. They are infectious, unlike leprosy and 99% of the time it is their fault for having sex before marriage which is technically illegal. STDs are the main reason (you can call me a wuss for saying this) I don't want to have sex before marriage. The other reasons are Its against the bible and my mom's freakin scary when she's angry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not sure if trolling, or 12...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

STD's have absolutely nothing to do with being married. You can get an STD from the person you're married to. Even if you're both virgins when you get married it's possible for people to be born with an STD if their mother had it while pregnant with them. Also premarital sex is not illegal in any capacity whats so ever. Religious teachings =/= state law. 99% is an amazingly high number to say it's someones fault for having an STD. In regards to sex it takes two people for an STD to spread and either people don't know they have it and it spreads or they know and don't care (which it is illegal to not tell someone you have an std if they are your sexual partner). As I mentioned before it can also be spread from birth, or in some cases you can get an STD because a blood bank messed up a screening and infected blood slipped through, hell if you're unlucky enough you could even get certain strains of HPV just from kissing someone so you're completely blowing the blame out of proportion to what it should be. Take a health class.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its rare to have a surviving baby with an STD. Also, most birth STD's have very obvious symptoms. I have taken health classes, but they may be exaggerating because people in Singapore seem to be really scared of all our youths getting infected (we only have less than 5 mil people in total). You can get STDs from saliva, but you would have to drink a few litres of it to ingest enough viruses. It is illegal to have premarital sex here. i don't know about America.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Since when is having sex before marriage illegal...?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its technically illegal, but its not enforced, except by really AH cops who hate people who have premarital sex because they (the cops) have never gotten laid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh right, you're a troll. Does it bother you how much you've failed at it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No. There's a guy in my class who does and awesome trollface. I've started trolling a while after I did this post. I need to practice, and its quite fun.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Blockhead, you are aware that you can give yourself an STD, right?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, I wasn't. If you give it to yourself it's indisputably your fault. Anyway, i thought I made it clear that I have been trolling for a while. To be more exact, I have been trolling since after my first comment on this post. I am not a good troll and do not blame anyone for not realising for several days.
