+549 Parents shouldn't take their kids to disneyland/world when their only 3 or 4. It sucks only having vague memories of what happened and barely doing anything there because you were too young, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I agree, but I went when I was 4 and I do remember some things. But I remember the trip was I was turning 6 more.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

All I remember is taking a photo in front of the golf ball looking thing and standing in line for a photo of mickey mouse.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just for future reference the golf ball is called Spaceship Earth. It's actually a ride, in Epcot. /Disney nerd.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its perfectly okay to do that as long as that isnt the only time they do

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When my cousin was 3, his family took him to Disney World, Florida, California, and the Bahamas. Total waste because he's probably not going to remember any of it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Post edit: They're*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I went when i was 4.. All i remember is hugging Cinderella and telling her how she was my idol and that i wanted to be just like her. Even though i don't remember the rest, it's a nice memory.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Plus, then there are no 3/4 year olds there. Win win.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Aw, I love seeing how happy they get when they meet the princesses and stuff! They may not be able to remember it, but they probably appreciate it more.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

True, but they do more harm than good. Crying, puking, and just generally lengthening the line.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've never had many problems with them. I like smiling and waving at them. They get all big-eyed and stuff, it's really cute :) Then there are those little girls running around in princess costumes, and I love that. Not to mention YOU generally just lengthen the line. Your experience isn't any more valuable than theirs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe it's just personal experience as a frequent flyer, but trust me, that happens. Plus, any place where there are children, there is censorship. And because I seriously believe in self expression, censorship really --pisses-- ticks me off. And everyone lengthens lines. But subtract any demographic, and it's shorter for the remaining. Sure you could say something like "Canadians shouldn't go to Disneyland", and the line is shorter for you, but at least Canadians will remember it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1.I don't go a ton, but I have been there a lot. I've lived in Orlando my entire life 2.Ahh. You see, I don't mind censorship because I don't curse much anyway. I feel like there are other ways to express yourself 3.That's my point. II don't really understand your canadians comment, but you can't complain that 3 year olds lenghten the line. Are you simply against childeren at Disneyland? Because that doesn't make much sense at all. Oh, and just so you know the voice in my head isn't angry or anything, so don't take this message that way.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1. The only places in driving distance of my house worth going to are the mall and the airport. 2. I know, I hardly swear myself, unless, it's as a joke. It's more of being on the receiving end that bothers me. I Especially since I'm a bit of an anime fan. That stuff gets butchered on its way here. 3. My point is that they won't remember, and if they weren't there, then the people who will remember it will have fonder memories, since they have less time wasted in line. That's good. I never get angry in online debates, which usually ends up upsetting the other person. But I'm a very passive aggressive person, so it's nearly impossible to get me angry at all. But as my complaints may've told you, I'm kind of easily annoyed. I never act on it outisde of text, though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Dude... it's DISNEYLAND. Yes, they are going to censor shit.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Very observant. Except that you seem to have over looked the fact that my ENTIRE argument to this point was that it'd be better off without young children. It wouldn't be that censored without them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's Disneyland. There is going to be little kids, even if they are not 3 or 4 years old. There could be 10 year olds who will be able to remember it. Disneyland is not made for adults. Deal with it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Holy shit, are you retarded? I'm not trying to start a revolution to ban all children from Disneyland. ALL I'm fucking saying is that it'd be nice, and listing reasons why.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

umadbro? And yes. Yes I am. I have a learning disability. Problem?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Realizing you were tremendously wrong and trying to pass it off as successful trolling isn't going to bring back your long lost brain cells. And no, actually, I'm not mad. I just act violent when in online debates with someone who seems suspiciously retarded. If they're sincere, I get the satisfaction of pwning them. If not- well, have you heard of a cannibal troll?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not trying to pass it off as trolling, you're just stoopid. Do you even know what a troll is>?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wow, you are actually terrible at this. I've never been one to dismiss a troll before seeing what he's capable of, but I'm pretty sure it's shit all in your case.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

-.- DO YOU KNOW WHAT A TROLL IS????? Go to my profile. See positive score. When you reply, please don't call me a retard again, that's actually pretty fucking offensive and you're a huge dick for it for calling me retarded AGAIN after you found out I was.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just because you don't troll 24/7 doesn't mean you don't indulge. I've got a much higher score than you, and I cannibal troll constantly. Also, "retard" isn't a derogatory term if you are one. Slang =/= offensive. Also, just because you're retarded doesn't mean you should talk down to me. I'm very informed when it comes to the human brain. If I spend to much time talking to you, me calling you retarded may become a diagnosis.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OK so maybe I do indulge in trolling sometimes. Doesn't mean I am now. Do you know what a troll is? Can you tell me how saying there is kids at Disneyland there is going to be censorship is disagreeing with the common opinion to create a disturbance/get attention? When you asked if I was retarded, you didn't know I actually was so don't try to pull "it's not offensive if you are one" because 1) you didn't know I was one and you meant it to be offensive and 2) don't tell me what is offensive to me. I was never talking down to you, and if I was you could hardly be pissed off as it would be in response to you talking down to me. If you don't mind, I'm gonna go ahead and quit arguing about how retarded I am sense that's all you can focus on, instead of about how Disneyland has kids but it shouldn't because that would make YOU happy. You sure you're not the troll?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Again, I don't troll all the time. Like you. That's the solitary reason I used myself as an example. I will pull exactly that because 1) If you weren't mentally ill, I would mean it insultingly. Since you claim you are, you have even less reason to complain. 2) I'm not telling you what's offensive to you. I am only saying that it is politically correct to call a retard a retard, and if you're offended by that, well, tough. Legally, you haven't a leg to stand on. I don't talk down to people. If I sound like I'm dumbing myself down, it's only because I've been conditioned to. You were never taking that argument. My side was a preferable hypothetical. You were treating it an appalling literal. Taking OP's post as part of my case, you're yet to successfully rebut either of them. And not because it would make me happy, because it would make EVERYONE happy. Whether or not you agree they shouldn't be there, you can't deny that shorter lines are a personal plus. And, for the umpteenth fucking time, I'm not saying all kids, just those too young to remember the trip. As in, as good or bad a time they had, it will completely fade with memory.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

tl'dr I guess you don't know what "I'm done arguing means"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's okay, I shouldn't have expected that much from a retard. And you can be as done as your pathetic little brain feels fit. That doesn't mean I have to follow.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You must have a lot of friends. And actually, I'm blocking you, so it does :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I went when I was 10, and every day we went to a different park and I was so overwhelmed that I started crying one day because I just wanted to sit home and relax. This is totally irrelevant, but I just felt like sharing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I actually have some great memories of Disney when I was two, but that's probably just because I have an entire album filled with pictures of the trip so I feel like I remember it even though I really don't.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, apparently humans can't remember anything before age 3. So we sometimes make up memories based on photos.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I worry about that all the time (is that weird?). Whenever I remember something really strange or outstanding that happened a long time ago, I have to ask multiple people about it to make sure that it isn't a fabricated memory or anything. But yeah, most of my memories before the age of five are based on photo albums.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's also about the parents memories too. They want to have memories of going to places when their children are young so they can look back on it when they're older

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just went for the first time and it sucks. Everything is for kids that age, and I felt too old for everything. I used to agree, but ever since I went I went, my mind has been changed, because the park was built for kids that age.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, plus they're too young to really enjoy it properly - the delight they get from expensive kids rides at the expensive amusement park is exactly the same as if you took them on the slide and swings at the local park.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think taking them at 3, 4 or 5 is better, just because they believe. The princesses and characters are real, and it's the biggest, most magical place in the world. As you get older, sometimes the magic fades away. I do agree that its nice to have the memory though

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I went not knowing what the FU*K was going on. There was no magic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I went when I was 4, and I only remember a few things. Throwing up on my mom, Chip & Dale stealing my blanket, and a nastyass waffle that looked plastic. Gross. But I don't mind, because we went to Universal when I was 7, which is for older ages. If u had gone to Disney when I was 7 it wouldn't have been fun for my older siblings, because they would be 10 and 13. Which isn't the same.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i went to disneyland when i was 12 and loved it. hell, i still would.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I guess it depends on your interests. Like, to me, Disney princesses are overrated and Mickey Mouse is a child molester. Soo....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I went to Disneyland (the one in California) when I was 4. I remember all of it in complete detail. I went on the dumbo ride and then I went to the hospital for pneumonia for the rest of the trip. It was awesome.
