-120 It's funny/sad when someone refers to people and animals as separate things. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not sure why this is downvoted.... People are animals. Anyone who refers to them as separate things are be stoopid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans are mammals, =/= animals.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

mammals= animals, humans=mammal, therefore human=animal

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans are technically primates... I believe the fancy term is Homo Sapien.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans are a subset of Primates Primates are a subset of Apes Apes are a subset of Mammals Mammals are a subset of Animals Animals are a subset of Living Organisms. Human is not equal to Animal. Human is a SUBSET of Animal.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

._. woah Ahaha thank you for that clarification!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Scientifically, humans are animals, but our ancestors were too lazy to think up a new word like non-sentients to describe 'lesser' beings, so now animal refers to only those 'lesser' beings and human refers to us.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm talking about when people seriously didn't know people were (scientifically) animals.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

holy shit. people like that still exist?!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yup -.- I overheard a girl in the hallway talking to her friend about it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

was she blonde? (jk i don't really think ALL blonde are dumb, they just have a higher percentage)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually, yes. But she wasn't a natural.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, humans are animals that just so happen to be at the top of the food chain.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We're only at the top of the food chain because of the technology we have available to us. If it was us by ourselves in the wild, we're actually pretty low on the food chain. I don't see how this is relevant.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't believe our use of tools is any different than a lion using its muscles to chase down prey.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I do, depending on which way I look at it. If I think about our order in the natural food chain, we're at the bottom.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I believe that instead of gaining body parts that would help us kill prey, we have essentially gained brain power instead of more muscles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why limit "natural" to nonhuman? If we are indeed animals, then our cities/technology are just as much a part of nature as a termite mound.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, it's not. Nature is what nature makes. Nature is not buildings and weapons.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If humans are animals, and animals are a part of nature, then what we make is also a part of nature.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

People don't say that we're not animals, they simply use the terms to differentiate between humans and other animals. It's just more simple and I'm sure everyone understands what someone means when they say, "It's what separates us from the animals," or something to that extend.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've heard a lot of people say that, actually...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Kinda like you just did?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I guess you really didn't... I don't know what I was think when I posted that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Humans = animals. animals =/= humans. kind of like square = rectangle rectangle =/= square.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Obviously not animals are humans but all humans are animals. I think you missed the point.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Are you retarded? that's exactly what I said.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Are you retarded? I just said what you said is obviously true.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Then why do you feel the need to comment the exact same thing in different words..?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because you just pointed out the obvious, and you missed the point of the post. You are so dumb, fo real.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're probably not going to read this, since you're offline, but in the off chance that you do (which I'm almost positive you will, because you just seem the type of person to want others think you don't care), you should follow me so I can message you about how stupid your whole argument about how gay acts don't make you gay is, since the post seems to have been removed. I'm giggling at the thought of completely destroying your argument. Also, it's so funny to me how helpless you are... just because YOU wouldn't survive a fight against an animal, doesn't mean all humans will. We outsmart other living things... that's how we survived... we're constantly making things... believe it or not computers and guns didn't always exist, I know shocker! But yes, it's all very true. Soak it in. I realize that you have a very disdainful outlook on people, probably caused by bullying as a kid and/or being outcast, BUT we are really not as low as you hope we are. YOU may quite possibly be, but not the rest of us.
