+769 It's annoying when girls take pictures in glasses and they're like "I'm a nerd". Like shut up you're not a nerd you're just a slut with glasses on, amirite?

I want to shoot people who wear fake glasses just so they'll look "cool" in the face. My best friend does it, and it looks cute, but it irks me to no end. YOU HAVE PERFECT VISION YOU DON'T NEED THAT CRAP ON YOUR FACE. HELL.

Exactly. Even if it looks good, it's still annoying. My friend got them, and I wanted to punch her in the face when she came to school wearing them (too violent?). Another friend has a pair too, and when I first saw them I was like "Really? You're *really* going to wear fake glasses?". Turns out they were prescription.

I feel as though it's an insult to people who actually need glasses. No one WANTS to wear glasses. I mean, come on. They're a hassle. The people who wear fake glasses don't understand how it is to actually NEED the glasses. Now, if it's someone with contacts who used to have glasses, and they just think they look better with glasses, then I am less upset about it.

Although I'd never considered the contacts situation, I guess it *is* a bit more acceptable than just wearing them for the hell of it. But If they think they look better with glasses, they should probably just buy glasses . . . Also, because I feel like it's sort of relevant: when I was little, I really wanted glasses. And then I got them and hated every minute of wearing them (I got used to them eventually, but now I've just stopped wearing them at all).

Do you have contacts now?

Mini biography about my history with glasses: Nope. I never really needed glasses to see in the first place, actually. My right eye has perfect vision, but my left eye is a bit weaker (so my glasses had one lense that had prescription and one that was basically just glass. If I got contacts, I'd only need them in one eye). They gave me glasses when I was in the first grade even though the one weaker eye didn't deter me at all, since my right eye made up for it. (they also made me wear eye-patches at home . . . ). By Jr. High, I'd already lost/broken at least eight pairs of glasses, so when I lost a screw in my most recent pair a couple years ago, I just gave up. I can see perfectly fine without them, and I'm terrified of contacts so I'd never get them.

That sounds like a whole lot of trouble for one little weakling eye.

I think it looks ridiculous. Especially when they use the 3D glasses from movie theaters.

I find it ridiculous when they just punch out the lenses. Makes it easier to stab them in the eyes though.

Ugh, yes, it annoys me to no end. I had big framed glasses before it was cool (excuse my hipster moment) and someone asked me if my glasses were real. After saying yes and they didn't believe me, I literally took them off and they tried them on and were like "yup, you're blind." I've gotten that five more times. -_-

It's just so annoying! Wearing them is a super annoyance, but just because you have fake glasses on by no means makes you a nerd. Just because you wear them period you're not a nerd. I hate people.

People who wear fake glasses when they don't need to is like riding in a wheelchair when you don't need one.
