+241 Many athletes are accused or convicted of crimes ranging from DUI manslaughter to rape, but are soon absolved by the public. Tiger Woods neither committed a crime nor a violent act, but he was vilified as a heinous villain. What he did was detestable, but he was clearly treated unfairly by the media, amirite?

hey remember how he hit his wife with a golf club? remember how he had about 16 mistresses? maybe having mistresses isn't illegal, but its definitely a crime.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought she hit //him// with the club.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're both horridly wrong, no body hit anybody with a golf club.

I would totally hit my boyfriend with a gold club if he cheated on me with 16 people.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You'd hit him with a GOLD club? Ouch, but yeah I think a simple break up would be another perfectly justifiable solution to that problem.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

no. he hit her.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No. She hit him. Not saying he's not an asshole, though.

I don't really get the point of hating on him. There are plenty of professional athletes that cheat on their wives, the wives just don't care because they want to spend his money.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yea, his wife got several hundred million dollars from him, that's such a cunt thing, I'm sure they weren't getting along, why else would he cheat on her? She just used this opportunity to rob him, she's disgusting.

This post sounds extremely pretentious... you could have written it as such: "There are a lot of athletes accused of murder or rape and have been pardoned by the public, why did the media have to disparage Tiger about cheating on his wife." Even there, I just couldn't think of a better word for disparage, but... yeah, pretentious.

Yeah...I don't think yours sounds any less "pretentious"

Nobody complained when Happy Gilmore went around beating people up!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not sure. I guess, yeah, he didn't complete a crime, but he was a fucking douchebag. And they don't really talk about that anymore...

Price of being famous. Though I think I'd rather my boyfriend get a DUI and admit a mistake and take AA classes, then cheat on me with over 9 whores and then expect to not get yelled at...Tiger Woods knew what he was doing, he didn't care. He's a disgusting man. Cheating is not a crime but it's deplorable and gross. And his wife may not have cared about money, but she wanted to get back at him for cheating on her so many times with so many women and that was the easiest way to do it; by taking all his money.

Wasn't he driving drunk, late at night which caused the car crash, and therefore the whole controversy?
