+186 When you were a kid, it was always terrifying when you repeated something you didn't know you weren't supposed to say and all the adults around you were suddenly furious, amirite?

I told my brother "Get your ass up the stairs!" when I was 6 after I heard my mom say it. I was beaten with a hanger.

I hated that, you can't get mad at a kid when you were the bad influence. It's not fair, there are times when you reprimand a child that way and then are times you don't.

I agree. She should have said "Now, we don't say that" and if he said it again, THEN punished him. As stop saying it herself.

When i was in like 4th grade, I heard this song that went "Fix yourself girl, you got a cameltoe." The next day, I went to school telling kids they had cameltoes because i didnt know what it meant.

My mum was reading a Harry Potter book with my little brother years ago, and he tried to read the word 'knut' like the currency, and pronounced it 'cunt'. Oh how we laughed.

Is it nut or noot? I always read it noot, but somehow I keep saying nut.

When I was about 10 my mom got mad at me for something and I said, "Fine! Why don't you just slit my wrists!" I heard someone use the phrase in a movie when they were really angry...I had no clue what it meant. My mom freaked. O.o
