-149 Instead of flying, planes should just go in the air and hover, waiting for earths rotation to eventually bring them to their destination, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What if they need to travel north and south?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Dunno about travelling north, but they could just use gravity to travel south. troll

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wouldn't gravity just pull them closer to the ground? Gravity comes from the middle of the earth, so it wouldn't really make it move southward. Additionally, I don't think that it would make it move east or west either. When you jump in the air, you land right back where you started. Wouldn't that be the same for a plane in the air?

That would take FOREVER

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Planes can't hover.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why the hell not?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They are not capable of it. Ask the wright brothers why though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thrust. Cue "that's what she said".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's what she said troll

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And favvkes with the troll face. It never fails.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You know how long that would take? Fucking forever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fucking forever doesn't sound that sound THAT bad.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

School feels like "fucking forever" so it can't be that long.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And just what school do //you// go to? hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

the best one.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Physically impossible.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm suprised so many people didn't find this post funny/ took it serious.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It definately would not work or even be reasonable.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Since you can only travel west, you'll have to pack up a lot of stuff to survive the trip to the dollar general down the street. Better get used to drinking your own piss.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You mIght still be in the earth's gravitational pull as well, so you would just end up moving with Earth and not get anywhere.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If the earth makes one rotation every 24 hours, it wouldn't take as long as it seems. But you still wouldn't be able to travel north or south.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes because it's nice to wait 12 extra hours to fly from coast to coast. Very convenient.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I laughed so hard I snorted while reading this.
