If you think about it, a well-treated pet probably has the best life of any creature that ever lived: they can sleep all day, have food provided for them, don't have to work for anything, and they have someone that they know they can always count on. amirite?

Sometime, I wish I had that life. But then I realize that I wouldn't be able to watch cool ass anime and enjoy the internet in that case.

But they mustn't like having to wait around for us to give them what they want. Even though I take my dog for a walk everyday, I'm sure she'd rather wander outside whenever she likes, for as long as she likes. Plus I can't always be playing with her, and I worry that she gets bored when I'm out all day, or not paying her any attention.
