+192 Whenever you read a post where the poster is saying something like "Don't judge fat people because they might have a medical condition", you automatically assume said poster is fat. amirite?

It's annoying when fat people blame their weight on a medical condition. It's actually only a small percentage of overweight people who have a legit reason for their weight gain. And IMO, when you are in a wheelchair and can't exercise, that's no excuse, because you cut down on what you eat.

Except your body needs a standard amount of calories each day to live. and those calories are usually burnt off from normal walking people do for work/school. If you cant move to do even a little bit of exercise you will gain weight exponentially based off the 2000 calories doctors recommend daily.

That is true; however there are many active people who will gain weight eating 2000 calories a day. Someone who is disabled and unable to do any movement at all would not gain weight if they ate according to their BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). That's how many calories you burn even if you don't move - your heart, lungs, organs, etc are still moving. An average female with a height of 5'7 who weighs 145lbs has a BMR or around 1500 calories, which is not at all an unrealistic amount of calories to consume. As long as you ate the right foods, you would not be lacking nutrients or anything.
