+115 The process of parenting is similar to the school year for a senior in high school; in the beginning and with their first child, they're super motivated and enthusiastic about being a good parent. With the middle child(ren) their motivation is beginning to decline, and they aren't as strict as they were with the first child. With the last child, they slack off and let them do whatever they want. amirite?

And the beginning is critical because it determines whether or not you get into college....I mean, it determines what the child will be like.

I'd say that you try hardest junior year.

(Mairlyn Vos Savant): I agree with you. I was just saying with senior year, at the beginning, it's like the motivation that naturally comes with every new school year, and then by the end it's like "and not a single fuck was given"

It was the other way around with my parents. They realized that they screwed up my older brother by trying to be laid back so they're a lot stricter with me.

My mom treated us all the same, even her step-children. Sadly I didn't treat my four years of highschool like that. I got lazy towards the end.
