Lol. People who disagreed are ones who care too much about music, but think otherwise. I think music is great, and it's good that people love it so. But then again, what if I only think that //because// I love music so?

I think people are too obsessed with what music others listen to. People these days try to hard to be the first to discover an artist, compare music genres (because obviously their favorite one is the "best"), they spend a lot of time criticizing popular music, pop artists and their lifestyles. It seems like if people didn't have religions to fight over, they would have wars over music.

As a musician in high school playing since age 5 and getting paid to play at small gigs in a string quartet, as well as wishing to major in music performance, I think it's okay to say that music is my life. I understand what OP is saying though, and that some people would go waaaaay too far. But at the same time, I believe it is necessary to have music in our lives. It's not a physical thing, it's more of a psychological thing that our minds have adapted to, from getting used to listening to music every day. For example, I would probably be driven mad if I didn't get to play my violin for a week or more. (I hope my parents don't take away my violin if they want to ground me)
