+174 It's pointless to make brass knuckles illegal while still allowing people to have knives and guns and such, amirite?

Knives have a load of other uses, and there's nothing in the Constitution about brass knuckles. Knives are also illegal in some areas, as are guns. Not to mention the Government is absolutely trying to take away our guns.

There may be nothing in the constitution about them, but they're illegal to own. I bought mine as a "paperweight". I'm not saying that guns should be illegal, I love guns! I'm saying it's stupid that brass knuckles are illegal.

It's because of one the same reason that they make gun control laws, the government feels that we can not be trusted with possibly dangerous things. It's just part of the protectionist culture that western society has grown into.

They aren't "controlling" brass knuckles like they do guns. They're completely outlawing them. But I understand what you're saying.

Store by my house sells em as belt buckles

brass knuckles are like switchblades in that you reallycant construe them to be more useful than a different option except for hurting people. With brass knuckles even more than switchblades, they are really only usable by the agressor.

also, brass knuckles tend to crack/smash/shatter, espec. bone, so between shattered bones and internal bleeding, much more damaging than your average bullet or stab assuming it was randomly placed.

Internal bleeding is normally a much bigger than broken bones... Edit: Although now I see you meant shatter. Either way, I believe internal bleeding is more damaging.

sorry, that was poorly worded. brass knuckles=shattered bones and internal bleeding. bullets=hole and profuse (generally) but external bleeding

Oh, okay.
