No, but it does raise awareness. And sometimes that can be a big help.

Yeah that's true, but I find in a lot of cases groups are trying to raise awareness about AIDS or something. Like who is not aware of AIDS? Passive activism is so frustrating. It doesn't help anyone, it only makes people sleep better at night when they're not actually doing anything.
