+118 People need to stop naming their kids after Jesus, unless you plan on taking that little brat to the back yard and nailing him to some wood, DON'T NAME HIM THAT, amirite?

Well, if we're being technical, Jesus is just the English rendition of the Hebrew יהושע (Yehoshua or Joshua), so really, if you don't like people being named after the savior, you should have a problem with people naming their kids Joshua.

Well then once they name him Joshua, be sure to take him to the backyard and nail him to some wood.

Going by that logic, we should only name our children William if we plan on forcing them to write world-changing plays.

Or George if we want him to piss a new country off.

Jesus Christ doesn't have any copyrights to his first name. Grow up and realize there's more people in the world then your single religious savior.

but a lot of people name their kid Jesus //because// they believe in Jesus Christ. Now if you don't believe in Jesus Christ, I understand.

It's acceptable if he's going to grow up to do yard work.
