+195 It's somewhat weird how most Americans have heard of all the presidents and can name something important they did, but don't even recognize the name of a vice president. For example, you've never heard of Elbridge Gerry, Hannibal Hamlin, or Schuyler Colfax, amirite?

It's true, they pretty much don't do anything other than balance the ballot to get a wider range of people to vote for the president, and break ties in the Senate (Unless the prez. is assassinated).
