I usually favourite a post if I want to keep watching his score or if I really like it and intend to write it down somewhere. It is easier to refind a post you previuosly favourited. I kind of use them as bookmarks. :P

If a post is really funny or interesting, or I want to keep a watch on the comments, I favorite it.
