It would be stupid if they actually said that eating animals is wrong, usually they don't have a problem with eating the animal, they have a problem with how it kept.
Thievery, cannibalism, and incest also occur in the animal kingdom, should we also copy that behavior? Personally I don't eat meat, but I also don't think it's wrong to do so. I was just pointing out the flaw in your logic. :p
Ya, but i never said any of that, all i said was that animals eat other animals in the wild, i didn't say thievery, cannibalism, and incest. Even though thats disgusting, those things all ready happen anyways. I was just pointing out the flaw in your logic. :p
You said it's stupid to say that eating animals is wrong because it occurs in nature. Why make an exception for that only? The other things I mentioned (though naturally occurring) are mostly considered wrong and most people accept that. If some people see eating meat as beneath them or wrong it's not stupid or faulty logic on their part, it's just an opinion. The fact that some animals do it is irrelevant, because people don't base their behavior off of other animals. Does that make sense?
Ya it does, but i'm not saying that its stupid to be a vegetarian, i'm saying that IF people do use that reason, then its stupid. Some people do use that reason.
I am a vegetarian, and I do think that eating animals is wrong. I've heard all the arguments many times, and my answer is always the same. Humans don't need meat to survive. Lions, for example, do. That's why they're carnivores and we're omnivores. Vegetarians can get enough nutrients from diet alone. I've had blood tests done, and I am normal for any vitamin or mineral you can name.
I don't care. I like steak. If lions had access to peanuts to make up for the protein, they could still live. Just because you CAN live without meat doesn't mean it's the natural cycle and any mammal able to do it is willing and if they're not willing but perfectly capable they're wrong.
That's extremely closed-minded of you to dismiss my views outright, and to straight up say that you don't care about my argument is extremely offensive. I harbor no delusions that my vegetarianism is going to change the world, or that someday everyone will be vegetarian. All I ask is that people respect my choice and don't try to convert me.
Maybe you're being closed minded that eating animals isn't wrong. To say I don't need meat to survive but I eat meat anyway is extremley offensive. No one ever claimed anyone thought you would change the world, whiney sensitive sissies rarely do.
What? First off, there is a difference between being closed-minded and having an opinion. I said in my first comment that I think eating animals is wrong, not that everyone should think that. That's just my personal belief. For you to say that you don't care about my opinion is closed-minded. And your second statement makes no sense. You don't need meat to survive, but you eat it anyway. That's a fact, which you yourself stated. I'm sorry if I did offend you. I am autistic, so sometimes I do offend people without meaning to do so. However, you last statement was, to anyone's ears, extremely offensive. There's no denying that.
And for the record, throwing back words I used does not make a good counter-argument, especially if you use them wrongly.

I mean't to say some vegetarians
