They said I tricked them into doing my hair, driving me there in the Mercedes, doing my nails and buying me a ring by not telling them he was gay when really I thought why would it matter.

I legitimately don't understand. Why do they care that they did all that if it was for YOU and not your gay friend? I would understand if they're homophobic and don't want to drive him there or whatever, but all of those things benefitted you, not him.

Shouldn't they be happy that there won't be a chance of you conceving a baby on your prom. They're acting like they paid for him to go. Did you appologize?

I did apologize... My mom told me if I didn't she wouldn't let me participate in a pageant that I made it to state finals for.

Thats horrible. I mean, its just a dance, but you should be allowed to go with whomever you want. Unless they were expecting you to get pregnant or something. When i was a freshman i shyly asked my gay best friend if he would like to be my prom date if by then we didnt have anyone. When the time came we both had someone, but decided to go together instead. Best decision ever. long story short, if you think it was worth it, no need to apologize.

It's to state opinions, not tell us about your life. I mean, would you think it was okay to post on here something like "So today I had a really bad day, first my alarm didn't go off and I was late for work, so my boss got really pissed off with me because I have a really bad attendance record as it is, which isn't fair because I really was ill all those times, so then after that there was an accident which the manager had to deal with, and that meant that I didn't get a lunch break, which sucked because I was planning on going to see my grandparents before they left back home (they live 300 miles away), so then I never got to say goodbye, and then I got home and my parents were angry at //me// for it, and then my boyfriend was in a really bad mood and we had a fight and it just isn't fair. You agree that my day was bad, amirite?" I get that the post limit would let you post that much, but do you think it's alright to post something like that?

Oh..yeah, never mind then lol. well, they have their beliefs and you have yours. I think they're in the wrong though for passing their own judgment on someone just because they're gay. Just tell them "Don't judge him because he sins differently than you"...that should get their attention? maybe. i dunno. Good luck!
