+439 Lately, pop songs just seem to be a string of vapid cliches, like "Oh yeah, c'mon, shake the ground, show me what you got/let's have fun tonight, this party won't ever stop/better watch out when you see me on the floor/we're gonna drop the beat and dance until we're sore/ayy-oh/let's have sex/ayy-oh/who you gonna text/ayy-oh/whatcha gonna do/ayy-oh/I'm lookin' at you" This could literally be a song on the radio nowadays, amirite?

That's really all pop songs ever have been. Those just happen to be the cliches that are most common right now.

None of these "musicians" knows what fun means, by the way.

It's not just lately. Pretty much all songs have had countless others like them, and many of them terrible. It's just that, for older ones, only the really good ones (and even then, some old popular songs have really dumb lyrics) get remembered so it seems like they were all really good. ... But yeah, I am annoyed at all the songs about having sex, breaking up and going to parties too. :P
