Funny, the healthcare bill won't even cover all the uninsured (the number which includes at least 10 million illegal aliens). If you really think it's free, then I guess you don't understand economics very well, someone has to pay for it. Sorry if I don't support the Democrat's socialist take over of our nation. P.S. I'm an atheist.

(Jake S): In England, illegal immigrants dont get free healthcare... It's for uninsured US tax payers. Its free for those who use it, obviously the cost is spread over the entire tax paying population. What happens to someone who has just lost their job who gets ill? Do they deserve to suffer more than you?

You seem to be making me out to be some evil person who wants poor people to die. First of all, nobody is denied health care. If you go to the hospital with no health care, you'll still be treated, they can't deny you life saving care. My uncle had surgery a few years ago and had no insurance and the hospital reduced the bill by over 50%. If we can reach a bipartisan solution to increase the availability of health insurance, I'm all for it, I'm just not for this stepping stone to universal health care, rationing, and a socialist government.

The health care is for US citizens. They themselves do not directly pay for it (DIRECTLY!!) No one is forced into choosing the public option. I see no problem in the government paying so that we can all stay safe and healthy. you don't pay for police protection do you? We are one of the only democratic developed nations that didn't have something similar to what Democrats suggested. Umm.. hello?

(Anonymous) who do you think pays the government? how do you think they get the money? if you really want people who can't afford it to get free health care so bad then go to the hospital and pay for the medical bill YOURSELF! and stop making people pay thousands more in taxes a year. I mean every won deserves healthcare, but this is not a good solution. I am only a kid and i fear for the world i will have to live in.
