+240 It's weird how older people generally don't know how to use electronics as well as teens and young adults. Most of us were only babies when Microsoft became a household name, but they were adults. It's strange to think that, technologically, they could fall so far behind, amirite?

It's easier to learn than to unlearn and relearn.

Well they might have used Microsoft in the beginning but now with the touch screens and apps and such they don't need that stuff...you might know shortcuts when youre typing but they don't have annything to tyPe so the don't know

It actually makes sense. When you're a kid, it's easy to learn new things even if you've never done it before because your brain is still developing. When you're an adult, it becomes harder to learn things that you've never had to deal with before. Plus, people who were babies when all of this started grew up with it, so it's always been normal.

Adults are just as capable as kids at learning - it's not because kids' brains are still developing, they just have a different attitude towards learning. Kids are willing to sit there for three hours playing with every single button on the remote, pressing everything on the keyboard and clicking on every menu button to see what it does. Adults usually don't have that patience, they just what someone to tell them what to do. They get what they need done, but they don't learn anything along the way.

Not all kids have more patience than adults. In fact, if anything I would say it's the other way around. But kids are wired for learning because obviously they are at a stage where they learn so much so quickly.

It's easier for kids to learn everything (languages, technology...) because of their brains and stuff.
