+171 Why are you labeling someone as a "slut" or a "whore" for having sex? Its their own personal life, and decision. They are still the same person that they were before it. amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah. But it's similar to when someone gets their doctorate. If I got mine I would still be the same person, just Dr. Blacksmith instead of Mr. Blacksmith. After sex, they are still the same person, just Andy the Whore instead of Andy.

the fact that this is upvoted saddens me greatly

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I feel bad for you, I really do.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Thanks for the support. I can only hope that someday you'll outgrow this sad, slut shaming stage.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah. I wasn't joking at all when I posted up there. I should probably outgrow having a sense of humor, women hate that.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't know that I'd say they're the same person. Sex is a learning experience, so it can change who you are in some ways... but I agree it's a personal decision.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Your post is true, but it also matters what the person acts like afterward. Some people do change after things like that and people lable them according to how the person talks about it themselves.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Women aren't called sluts for having sex. Women are called sluts when they act in a slutty manner.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

By having sex. But only if it's frequent and with different people

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How come when a man acts the same way they're not called sluts?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Because when a guy wants sex, he has to work quite hard to get a girl to like him enough. When girls want sex (if they're hot) they just walk into a bar and sit down, looking pretty. For guys, it's a challenge, for girls, it's pure recreation.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Women are called sluts because since forever women have been expected to uphold a curtain amount of class and morality. So it's assumed that when they don't, that there're sluts. Men don't have that expectation from society; they never have. And it's not that much harder for males to get laid than it is for girls. You can't just make account for the normal guys. You have to consider all guys and all girl (hot or ugly) it pretty much evens out.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Like there aren't girls who do the very same thing? Or guys who are so good looking that he can get any girl he wants? It's not that hard to get laid.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm talking about normal guys. Even for really good looking guys, if she doesn't want sex, he's not getting any. Guys change their minds more easily. i'm working on averages, not saying there are no extreme cases.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"When girls want sex (if they're hot) they just walk into a bar and sit down, looking pretty." This is not your average girl. Your average girl has to work for sex too.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Define work. To me, work is making an active effort, such as going up to someone, initiating the conversation, and steering it towards' you wanna come over to my place?' Wearing a short skirt is not working hard. A girl just to appear non-repulsive, but a guy has to appear charming, sensitive, pro- a lot of things women like and anti- a lot of thing women dislike. This is caused by men having a bigger libido (taking frequency, ease of turning on, and intensity all into account. Of these, only the intensity is equal). Also because of the libido thing, an average girl is acceptable for a one night stand, but a guy has to be in the top 10-30% for a girl to consider him. This refers to getting to the 'sure thing moment'. Usually achieved a 2-4 sentences before actually going home. These last sentences are meant to wrap up the conversation, and usually any non-deal-breaking sentence you speak will still result in sex. Guys don't give a crap about good personality for one night stands, so if you'r ugly, you're screwed. Or rather, not. Guys must have or pretend to have a good personality because girls a more 'picky' and have more criteria when choosing.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No... Many girls just go up to a guy and say, "Wanna fuck?" When a girl has to make herself look presentable and go through hours of trying on different outfits, I call that work. The effort is equal by both parties. The exception is when one person is totally hot.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oh... I always just thought girls keep set outfits for different occasions in their closet. Like there's just one really provocative one for when you're looking for sex. Sorry if I was mistaken.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Pikabeau and all the others arguing against blockhead should shut the fuck up LOL. When you start using statistics to back up your claims you may speak again. This is the dumbest argument I've ever seen in my entire life... if you honestly think it's just as easy for a guy to get laid as it is for a woman. For one, you are not taking at all into account the psycho-dynamic aspects of the situation. Blockhead has a clear and good argument. He has actual numbers in his arguments, which are one of the only things you need to win an argument. Anyway, if a pro athlete goes to little league games and keeps beating the kids at the sport he plays professionally, then he's a dick. If a boy goes to major leagues and beats everyone, then that's impressive. Same thing with girls and guys. No one is impressed by the fact that a girl can get laid, because of the low standard most guys have. I heard this by someone on this site. "If a lock can be opened by many keys, it's busted. If a key can open a lot of doors, then it's a master key." Unless girls have penis, they are the locks. Us guys have the key.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Blockhead has numbers that he pulled out of his ass. It really is just as easy for a guy to get laid as it is a girl. One problem I think many guys have is that they aim for girls way out of their league so they strike out more easily. If they would lower their standards like girls do, the playing field would be even. And the lock and key thing is just a phrase thought up to make girls feel guilty for having sex. FYI, humans are not locks and keys.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Lololol, guys have the higher standards? Are you serious? Girls LOOK for reasons not to date/fuck guys... guys just want to dip their dick in something pink... if a refrigerator had a pink hole, a guy would fuck it. In general guys do have little to no standards. That's almost a universal rule. It's like the theory of gravity, sure it's called a, "theory" but we all know what it really is. Let's not kid ourselves. Have you ever seen a couple who have decided to try, "Open relationships?" Who gets more sex? Have you ever seen a couple break up? Who gets the first sex? Unless the guy is specifically leaving the girl for another one. Look at my little leagues/major leagues analogy. Unless you want to consider that another, "double standard" That whole double standard thing is bullshit, because let me ask you this, when was the last time you saw a guy in court suing a woman for raping him? Now vice versa? Are the court systems also "unfair?" All of society is wrong except for you two? Is that the situation here?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But society is who gives those words life... the ones who give wings to the otherwise dead broken terms. And if society says the definition of the word, "slut" is a woman who has multiple sex partners, then by definition, a woman who has multiple sex partners is a, "slut" that's the definition of the word. It's like a, "mother" is a WOMAN who has a child. No one is going to say, "Oh a man can be a mother, he can have children." Is that a double standard? Whether the woman decides to take the word as an insult or a compliment is HER prerogative, but however if her conscious is eating her up, then she will feel as though she did do something wrong, not because she was called a slut, but because that's how everyone is wired.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Sorry Kickass, I know you're agreeing with me, but that's kind of going too far... The numbers weren't pulled out of my ass, but based on unreliable sources, like what my friends and parents and friends parents etc see in bars. And yeah, it is a lot harder to rape a guy because you have to excite him first and it is possible to stop yourself getting a boner. A few guys that do get raped, may turn it into consensual sex anyway. You lock and key thing is pretty extreme, but it's on the right side of the balance. IT's not THAT much of a difference, maybe like 0.3 or so.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You're debating the existence of a word? That's kinda silly... why does the word, "flacid" exist or "fellatio"? None of those terms are, "necessary" they exist, for the reason a lot of words today exist... which is unbeknownst to me. And I really don't care, why they exist. However, the thing is they do exist and they have a specific meaning. Meaning directed at girls, because it's part of the definition. As for the negative connotation, all that isn't substantial, it's not really a measurable thing. It's just opinion. A woman can be a, "slut" by definition and still be proud of herself. Although scientifically speaking, there are a lot of problems that can be associated with her. Same thing with guys.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There is and there should be.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

From what I have seen, guys have higher standards. They won't even bother looking at the "less attractive" girl and focus their sights on the pretty girl who puts out a lot, but only to other attractive people. It happens a lot, especially among teens/young adults. There should definitely not be a double standard when it comes to the sex lives of men and women. If a woman having a lot of sex is bad, then a man having a lot of sex is bad.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Guy's do have higher standards, but once those standards are met, they become 'sure things'. The hot girls don't have to do shit. It's the below average ones that have to work. And from what I've seen, most girls are reasonably hot. Actually, whoever goes up to the other person is a sure thing because he/she ahs already made the offer.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

On a post on damnlol.com I saw it explained better than any of you have. "Imagine a lock that can be opened by any key. That's a pretty crappy lock right? But now imagine a key that can open any lock."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Same point of Kickass. Except that the less shiny locks the want to be opened find it hard to be noticed.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's all part of psychological warfare to try and belittle a woman for "stealing" men away from their girlfriends. The best way to win the battle is to ignore the antagonist. All they want to do is see another person's feelings get hurt and watch them crumble.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I remember there was this quote "sluts are women with the morales of a man"

by Anonymous 11 years ago

People shouldn't have premarital sex. A lot of people's lives have been ruined because they have sex without marriage. However, that doesn't mean you should marry and divorce anybody just for sex. It shows irresponsibility when you have sex with a boyfriend or even someone you barely know. I also agree with the first comment. [AndyBlacksmith one, inb4 it gets deleted.]

by Anonymous 11 years ago

how the hell does it show irresponsibility? what shows irresponsibility is when you have sex irresponsibly by not using a condom or the pill
