My name is Chantel. When I was little I wanted a more common name like Ashley or Brittney. But now that I'm older, I wouldn't want my name to be anything else. I am Chantel, no other name could be me.

I never wanted to have a girl's name. But now I'm okay with it.

I'm Kelly, which has always felt like such a cheerleader name to me. I'd prefer something from a book, like Alice or Yvaine.

Easy for you to say, you have a cool name. XD

It's infinitely better than Kelly.

I've always wanted to change my name, still do. I find it infuriating having to teach people how to pronounce it several times before they finally get it, and even then I usually have to give up and give them my middle name or a nickname.

I really want to know your name now.

I wanted to change my middle name from Catherine to Diamond, because apparently I had some secret aspiration to be a stripper.

my parents named me hadar, because i was born in israel and back then we had no intention of moving to English-speaking countries. no one could pronounce my name on first try (or even the hundredth for some teachers and one friend I had in kindergarten) and i got teased for it quite a bit so at fifth grade I decided that I was going to change my name to the closest English equivalent, which is heather.

well, I still have my ovaries, so I wouldn't say I'm an actual guy just yet. I think maybe "transgender" is a better word, but suit yourself. male is what I was going for anyway XD sorry if that sounds rude. I'm awkward with people.

In elementary school I wanted to change the spelling of my name from Lesley to Leslie just so I could dot my i's with a heart or something.

I always wanted to change my name because it's so common and everyone spells it wrong. One teacher even tried to tell me I was spelling it wrong myself.
