+328 Girls: You wouldn't be able to help but be a little disappointed if your boyfriend proposed without a ring and said that you guys should get wedding band tattoos. amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

A little disappointed? I'd have to decline the proposal. I can't stand tattoos.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah I just didn't want to appear selfish but if people agree then good lol!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Wait...did this happen to you?.........

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Noooo lol thank god

I'd flat-out say no and tell him to come back when he gets some common sense, and a diamond.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I wouldn't ask him for a diamond, but I would be sad about the tattoos. I'm a bit for traditions :)

I would never propose to my [imaginary] girlfriend with a tattoo ring. I mean, unless both you and your boyfriend are big tattoo enthusiasts, the boyfriend should know better. IMO, you should've never get matching tattoos with your bf/gf or a tattoo of their name or something. What if you break up? You're going to have to get it laser-removed. And that's just adding injury to heartbreak.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would say no. Not because I'm obsessed with diamond rings - but because I hate tattoos. I'm not ruining both our fingers.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well, if I knew we were never gonna break up, then I would be ok with it. I don't like diamonds and I think they're a waste of money.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You can't know for sure that you're never going to break up, though. Even if you don't like diamonds, you could still just get a band.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If I didn't know for sure I wasn't gonna break up with him, I wouldn't be marrying him.

My grandma has been divorced twice. I'm sure she thought they'd never get a divorce when they were engaged. I think tattoo-rings would maybe be cool as an anniversary type thing in the future, after you've been married a while, but not right out of the gate.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Good for your grandma. Not very relevant to me, though.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The PLAN is to be together forever.........but, you know, shit happens.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well then it sounds like you're not ever getting married. You can't ever know for sure that you're going to be together forever.

I'd be all for the tattoo-ring! That would be pretty sweet and at least that way I couldn't lose it so easily. Besides, if you love the guy, why would he need some expensive jewelry to express his desire to live the rest of his life out with you? Personally, I'd be more phsyced by the idea that I'd be spending the rest of my life with the guy I'm head-over-heels for. In that case, he could get me a damn cheap bottle cap necklace and I'd still accept his proposal.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's about love not diamonds. If he was really the one I'd say yes no matter how he proposed.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

me too but I would be disappointed that's all.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would still say yes but I wouldn't get the tattoo. I'd just make him buy me a real ring later.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I can't wear rings, tattoo would be better. Though I'm against marriage so I guess it's a moot point.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'd probably think he was kidding. Seriously, I'm never getting a tattoo, and any guy proposing to me with one would be really weird.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would be disappointed because it isn't traditional and most girls dream of the perfect ring, but I'm not opposed to a tattoo band. I rather have a ring though, just because it's traditional.
