You have to deal with little brats all the time though.
Well, yes. You do have a point.
Well I didn't say working in education was the best thing to do -- I said this was one of the more appealing of its attributes.
But they do put in a lot of extra time at home and go to their classrooms outside of school hours. Sure the hours may seem nice, but they work more than just 8-3. Having summers and breaks off is nice, but they do work-related activities during that time. Days that you have off of school sometimes are where the teachers are in meetings. Over the summer, they take technology classes, more college courses, classes that qualify them to do more, etc. And some parents are real pieces of shit, especially in younger grades. On top of all of that they make $50,000 or less, sometimes more, depending on level of education, a year.
Wow that's ridiculously late. Surely she isn't having the conferences then? ;__;
The times goes from (at her school) 2:30-10 with various time slot. And then before school conference too. It's ridiculous.
I wasn't saying they made a lot of money, or that it was easy. I was saying that they have a lot more time off than most people would.
Yeah, I agree. I'm thinking especially of the days you get off for parent teacher conferences and such things.
My mom is a teacher so I overreact sometimes. :3 Like when it's parent teacher conferences my mom doesn't get home until like 10:30.
I know. I just added that part. My point is that they work more hours than people think.
The only time I would work in education would be as a college professor.
