+372 If you ever met a celebrity that you really admire, you don't know what you would say that wouldn't sound stupid or cliché. amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

'I'm your biggest fan!' Nope nope, heard that before. Try again.

"I just wanted to say I think you're super talented and I really admire your work" I feel like that's genuine enough and it gets to the point

I saw Anderson Cooper in the subway once, and I wanted to say something like that, but I kind of froze, thinking, "Am I the only one who realizes that is Anderson Cooper?" Pretty soon, though, he hopped on a different train. It didn't help that I find him very handsome.

I feel like I would just get all wide-eyed and say "Holy shit, you're the ZEfron." If you've ever seen Community, it would turn into when Troy met LeVar Burton.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I NEVER WANTED TO MEET LEVAR! I JUST WANTED A PICTURE! YOU CAN'T DISAPPOINT A PICTURE!

Get your lines from 90210 and others.

As pathetic as it is, I've given some though to what I would say to either John Green or Charlie Fink (my favorite author and songwriter, respectively) if I ever met them, and I've settled with something along the lines of, "Hi, I know I'm just a fan, which you've got thousands of, but I just want to tell you that in my opinion, you do what you do better than anyone else on the earth, and that is one-hundred percent sincere. I also want to let you know that your work has impacted me more than I ever imagined a book/song [depending on which person I'm talking to] could. So, thank you for doing what you do, and please don't stop."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Awwh I really like that. It is so genuine and the person that you tell that to would remember for sure!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Thanks; thats's the goal. :) Even though I've never met them, those two people mean a lot to me, and I'd love to opportunity to tell them so.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, I also have two celebrities in mind that are my favorite and mean so much to me...it just seems like there is nothing I could say that would have them understand how much of an impact they have made.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm probably be like, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my poster, so sign it maybe."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Clever

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'd probably just go with the classic "Hey dude. You're attractive and I've mentally fucked you so we might as well just go ahead and make it a reality."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would try to say something profound, but it would probably come out as "omgpshuuslndulunk"

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I really don't understand when people get starstruck. I've met a bunch of bands that I really like and had a nice conversation with them. They all started with "hey, how's it going".

by Anonymous 11 years ago

They probably never heard "I'll kill you". Creepy, but original.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would probably get embarrassed and stutter if I ever met a celebrity because that's just the way I am..

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would probably freak out and get a stupid look on my face and just say the first thing that pops into my head like "I love you, you're amazing". But because all the celebrities I actually admire seem super nice in real life, they would probably act nice about how weird I would be acting.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would act exactly the same way..that is why I made this post

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'd want to say 'yo William Petersen, why you betray me and not do guest spot in season 12 like you promised?' But then at the same time I wouldn't say it, because I wouldn't want him to not like me.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"Come with me if you want to live."
