No....See my example will come from any well defended fort you can kill your enemy while still guarding it by using balistas, murder holes, archers see these are all considerd defensive measures wich meens a good defense is just that a good defense you dont need an offense to kick ass

*@Robotgamer* Except for the part where you can run out of ammo and have no way to resupply due to your enemy having your fort surrounded. Meanwhile your enemy can summon backup pretty much whenever they please, depending on what methods they use for a messenger (Which I'm assuming are limited to old ages considering the use of balistas and archers) I sure hope you and your people enjoy dying of hunger and thirst!

On the other hand, you can have a vibranium shield, but people may still try their luck. If you had a Nokia 3310 on a stick, no one's going to try anything.

The best defense can't be an offense. Because then there's no such thing as a defense only a pumped up offense. So the best defense is not an offense because then there is no such thing as a defense.
