You hate how physics and probability dictate that given the shape of earbuds and earphones, they will get tangled by the motion they are subjected to by being in pockets while you're walking, amirite?

You know how earbuds are shaped like an L and earphones have like a 'neck'? When you walk, the wires are subjected to moving walls, changing gravity direction and changing pressure. This makes them move about quite a lot for such a small space. CHances are, your wires are coiled to fit inside the pocket, and this makes loops. If the earpiece goes near one, it would be easy to go in, but would likely get stuck trying to get out. The looped with ca slip around the top of the earpiece, but the corner or 'neck' catch it trying to come out, much like a barb on a fish hook. This happens a lot, and has a chance of happening with each step.

Earbuds are small, noise cancelling earpieces, earphones are the ones that don't go inside your ears, just sit on the outside, headphones are big ones, connected by a more or less rigid band and head sets are headphones with a microphone. Know the difference.

Not specifically, I just applied other concepts, like from this one time I read why everything ends up in the duvet during washing.

But I got my dad to read science books to be instead of bedtime stories. And that was at bedtime story age.

I don't see how this relates to non-loop wires... But it was pretty cool to read.
