Ya but some people go though years in post secondary and get great grades and receive a fraction of what a celebrity might get and they only got so much money because of talent. Money or salary should be based on effort, or importance, doctor, teachers, etc. Entertainment is not really important.

But our society just doesn't work like that. The movies and music we make are very important to our culture. They show we think and feel. I think that's very important, and if a celebrity managed to make it in Hollywood, than they deserve the money. It's hard work. No, you don't go to school for 8 years for it, but it is still a huge part our society. Also, there are many more doctors and teachers in our world than there are pro football players or celebrities, so it would be difficult to pay them all the money they deserve. Where would we get that money? Taxes to pay teachers? Most people don't want to pay what they already pay right now, let alone more. Higher medical procedure costs to raise doctors' salaries? So many people can't afford healthcare right now. I understand what you're saying, and it's a valid point, but I don't think it would ever work.

Can we still complain about the ones that didn't?

Yes to worked hard. No to working and earning what they deserve. Not a single popular artist or professional athlete has ever worked and put in the efitt to get what they have, they did what they loved and got lucky that what they love is easily commercialized. Doctors have worked hard enough to deserve what they earn, not justin beiber. Does he deserve recognition for his accomplishments? Sure. Does he deserve to have 2 lamborghinis by age 17 for covering a few songs on YouTube? No.
