Author's note: I'm just posting this here to get some more opinions. I want my cartilage pierced for my birthday but she won't let me get it because she doesn't understand it. So please no comments saying "Stop whining" or anything like that. I just wanted outsider opinions or maybe help understanding her side of things.
I've done that. I asked her about it again today and she said she would think about it, so maybe my chances are improving. But, yeah, I can always just wait until I'm 18.
I tried the same thing with a tattoo. My mom said I can get all the tattoos I want once I'm 18, which is only in a few months thankfully. But she has no problem with tattoos, she has over 10 easily.

How about you show her a picture of someone with their cartilage pierced? If she still says no, well then deal with it.
