I'm an atheist but even i don't really see where you're going with that one - there are much better examples of mistakes. Flooding the earth was supposed to be some kind of punishment to rid the earth of the wicked ones who lost their way or whatever. I suppose in the eyes of the faithful, god had his reasons and achieveed what he set out to do.....which was apparently the worst genocide in the history of the world
But that wasn't God's "mistake" - he knew that giving us free will would mean it could go either way. I don't think it's accurate to view that as God's "mistake"

I do see what you are getting at and I empathize. I lost my 100% right credential when one of my posts was misinterpreted. haha
He "resented" what he had made, and therefore sought to destroy it and start over. Noah and his family were the only "pure" ones left.
Yeah, it was on purpose...
The flood was on purpose, because his first attempt at creating life was a mistake.
