+200 What would happen if someone took polyjuice potion with a hair of a pregnant person? What if said pregnant person was due? amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Nothing would happen, because polyjuice doesn't exist.

I don't know anything about anything but I'm gonna vote YYA anyway!

They would look the same as that person, therefore they would look pregnant, but they wouldn't actually be pregnant.

I don't think so. The potion uses their hair, and their DNA. Being pregnant doesn't come from your DNA so the user wouldn't look pregnant.

But (and forgive me if I'm wrong I'm certainly no scientist) if it comes from DNA would it know the person's age? I was under the impression DNA doesn't show a person's age.

Or what if you took the hair of a person who was already under the effects of polyjuice potion?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well, I think the person would look pregnant but the real person would have the baby (if she were in labor at that time), not the person using the polujuice potion. The real person isn't nonexistent during that hour; they're still alive and moving. Crabb and Goyle were knocked out and Mad-Eye Moody was trapped. They didn't die or anything.

How am I supposed to decide whether I agree with this post or not if there's no opinion or statement in it?

I'm going to guess that no one wants to watch movies with you, because your that one person who picks out every little problem with a fictional children's movie.

Actually i wasn't talking about a movie. I was talking about a book. And i don't see it as a problem, just something i was wondering about. When you enjoy something as much as i enjoy Harry Potter you tend to wonder about the things the author doesn't mention, to make the pieces fit together in your mind.
