What if the reason your father isn't present in the Pokemon games is because you live in a two-story house where the second floor is your room thus making the house too small, amirite?
Correct me if i am wrong but in the Pokemon video games you live in a two story house. The top floor is your room and the bottom floor is like a kitchenette/living room type room. Your mother lives with you because you are ten and can't live alone. In the games there is not a known father who lives with you. The closest is Norman who I assume lives in his gym which is about 2 towns away.
Some people wonder why your father doesn't live with your mom and you. I thought about the fact that the house is kind of small even for just you and your mom because she has to live on the bottom floor. I thought about the fact that maybe your parents decided that mom will live with you while dad lives elsewhere because the house would become more cramped. Then again in some houses in Pokemon where four people live together in one room but the houses in your home town tend to be the only ones with two floors and a bedroom which makes it seem more like a home that would have nice living conditions .
The confusion could be the fact that I said "the second floor is your room" and I believe other parts of the world would disagree with that part because the top floor is referred as the first floor
Well they could both live on the bottom floor. I imagined that the house was built to be more home like but then again the houses in Pokemon are kind of small and as far as I know are not high standards like the fact that pretty much every other house that isn't in your home town is a one room building excluding the house on top of the lab in Gen 2 which has the professor's wife and kid.
It was just a suggestion that I felt like it had a fault somewhere in it.
That makes no sense.

The mom and dad can't possibly live in the same room? Mine do.

The size of the house though doesn't mean the father doesn't live there.
