I'd be too worried about wishes backfiring. If I wish for something that only affects me, and it goes wrong, I'm the only one negatively affected. But what if I wish for a cure to cancer to be found? That could go wrong in millions of ways, and millions of people would be affected.

Well wishing for world hunger to end might be a problem if the genie was an asshole because he would end it, but it would mean that everyone that was starving is a cannibal now.

If I had three wishes, I would spend one on a large scale "save the planet, benefit everyone" wish, one on my family, and one on myself. That way I wouldn't feel too selfish about it, and I would feel as if I had done my part to help.
