+176 The saying, "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end," is pure bullshit. Take the Holocaust for example, or the ending of the book One Day. Sometimes, shit is still messed up when the end comes, amirite?

It's not supposed to be universally true, it's supposed to be comforting. Most scenarios where someone is upset aren't the holocaust. So it's not "pure bullshit," and that's just extremely overly cynical to say so.

The point of quotations like that is not to be 100% true, it's be to uplifting to the reader. Just because it doesn't fit to all situations doesn't mean it doesn't fit in to some, and doesn't mean that some people won't relate to it. Also this quote was at the bottom of my "About me" for awhile. And while there is a high chance tha it didn't actually, I feel like my profile may have prompted this post. But that's just my ego speaking.

I feel like some people would start saying something about heaven.

Maybe the ending still has not come.
