+65 In Breaking Bad, Skyler is the antagonist of the entire series. Except for the occasional bad-guy cartel that dies off within a season, she is the source of all of Walter's problems, amirite?

He's the source of his own problems.

He wouldn't have gone through the treatment if it weren't for her bitching about it and almost forcing him to go through chemo when he didn't want to. If there was no chemo, he would've only cooked once, end of series.

Hi son was just as if not worse at pushing him into chemo. Also he didn't have to cook to fund his treatment because his brother and sister in-law were generously loaning him the money for it.

It wasn't his brother and sister in law, it was an ex of his and his former coworker in chemistry research. He refused to accept handouts; that was a big part of his argument to Skyler: that he //earned// the drug money he made. And you're right, his son pushed him, but not with the kind of guilt his wife laid on him.

Ultimately Walt is responsible for nearly everyone's problems on the show. Walter White is everyone's antagonist. Jesse is more the protagonist compared to Mr. White.

I love Jessie. He's my favorite character in the whole show. Walt is like this anti-hero you root for anyway. It's fucked up, but what can you do? Skyler is annoying, yet at the same time she knows what she is doing at times. The car wash was a good idea. She isn't the source. It was more Walt Jr. who wanted him to go through the chemo.

I hated the wife, she's part of the reason I stopped watching.
