+171 These days, when someone says, "Stand up for your beliefs!", it seems like they really mean, "Stand up for your beliefs...unless your beliefs are different than mine!", amirite?

People only do that there days? Pretty sure hypocrisy has been around for a long time.

I didn't say that hypocrites only exist in our day and age; I've just noticed that one particular quote people often seem to use hypocritically is "Stand up for your beliefs." People say it all the time, but (to use a few current examples) people boycotted Oreos for supporting gay marriage, people are boycotting Chick-Fil-Et for opposing gay marriage, and people are complaining and insulting the people who are doing the boycotting. It's an endless loop of unfair judgment.

People have a right to boycott just saying. And for me boycotting Chic-fil-a takes no effort because I have gotten in the habit of not eating fast food.

You have the right to free speech as long as you're not dumb enough to actually try it.
