One time I didn't have a ride to cross country practice and so my ex came to pick me up and take me. It was so incredibly awkward because I just broke up with him and it crossed my mind several times that he was going to do something completely crazy and kill us. Obviously, I wouldn't get in a car if I thought he'd kill me and it was really sweet of him to still take me to practice.
