General Mills makes not only all of the best cereals, but also owns brands that include Totino's, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, Bisquik, Green Giant, Hagen-Däs, Hamburger Helper, Old El Paso, Macaroni Grill, and Progresso, just to name a few... that kind of sounds like a monopoly, amirite?

It would be a monopoly if they owned every single type of cereal or what have you on the market, but all of these products have competitors owned by other companies.

No, that's just one company owning a bunch of companies that have to do with food...

Look up Unilever. That is the umbrella corporation to end all umbrella corporations.

A monopoly controls all of one industry, not some of many industries. As long as there are more competitors in each industry (which there are) it isn't a monopoly
