If it's in the TV category under Big Bang Theory, I think people who have never seen the show will figure it out. Mentioning who they are in the post didn't sound as good to me.

Plus it's a pretty popular show. I mean, I wouldn't say "Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter..." Not that BBT is as popular as HP but it's still well known.

Because it wouldn't be obvious they were from the Simpsons if you just named one of them. It's pretty obvious Howard and Raj are from The Big Bang theory, it'd be redundant to say what show they're from especially considering it's in the category.
