+121 It's completely hypocritical how some atheists go off about how people try to force their religion on them when they, themselves, talk about how moronic it is to believe in God and try to constantly show how enlightened their atheistic beliefs are, amirite?

This is true! And nice avatar by the way. ;)

ha I was just talking about this! its so hypocritical, rude, and just mean. it drives me insane. I used to really respect this one boy until he started this and now I can't stand him.

I'm an atheist, but I can assure you I don't do stuff like this. I prefer to keep my opinions to myself.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Same. I have NEVER gone around, and told people they are fools for believing. I respect their own beliefs, as long as they leave me alone I don't give a crap. @OP: Please do not just generalize all Atheists because you know one d-bag who does do that.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

He did say "some" atheists. I'm an atheist who doesn't do this, but I know some really obnoxious ones who do.

What a lot of people don't understand about the christan religion (and many others I'm sure) is that they believe its their duty to bring others to God, so they arn't just trying to be jerks and call you stupid for your belifes; they doing what they believe to be right.

If I believed killing innocent babies was the right thing to do, would say I was just "doing what [I] believe to be right?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

News flash, Athiests don't talk about Atheism unless somebody insults it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Except that saying "this is what I believe in, and so therefore I like it" does not = OMFG YOURE STUPID BECOME A CHRISTIAN AND WORSHIP GOD OR YOULL GO TO HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's because atheism isn't a belief, it is a realization of the facts of life, science, and logic.

Way to generalize, oh perfect one.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There's a difference between saying "you're wrong" and saying "you're going to hell." Besides, atheism is not its own religion and therefore doesn't require any activities like Church and whatnot.
