+288 It's really awkward when you're looking at your teacher while they're speaking and they keep extended eye contact with you, amirite?

once i was mildly sick and lost my voice, so i had to whisper awkwardly. we were singing a song in class to memorize something. i wasn't singing, but i was paying attention. at one point, the teacher stopped singing(she was the only one singing loudly). she asked us why we weren't singing with her, and she stared //right// at me.

In college, like high school, when the teacher is saying something or teaching, you tend to nod as if you understand. With one of my professors this past semester, he would lecture and I would keep staring at him without nodding. It got to the point where he looks straight at me and goes "Do YOU understand?" I caved in and nodded :(

This always happens to me. I think it's because I use my death glare when my teacher's giving a lecture.

I typically give a little nod to the teacher in sort of a "I am listening" way or glance away real fast.
