It's ironic how the Western media have gone to lengths to portray the Hijab as a symbol of oppression but now suddenly that topless pictures of Kate Middleton have been exposed, it's considered a sign of modesty and innocence, amirite?
When Kate Middleton visited a Mosque in Malaysia, she wore a headscarf (or Hijab) as a sign of respect for their culture.
Newspapers and magazines defending her in terms of the topless photo scandal, chose these pictures of her to portray how "modest" she is, which is ironic since Hijabs and other aspects of Muslim culture have always been portrayed as "oppressive".
We Muslims Are So Proud Of This Step of hers.Hijab was a symbol of "oppression" for the non-Muslims....and i dont understand what problem do they have from us?? And who said that Women Are forced to wear them.Hijab is 0ur protector. It makes us special from other women of the world.
Someone please explain this to me? It seems like there's a lot going on with this post...

It could be acceptable because she's choosing to wear it, rather than being forced to? I don't know, just an idea.
A lot of those women who are "forced" to wear them consider them an integral part of their culture and are proud of it.
I know, I wasn't saying I support that idea, I'm just taking a guess how the media thinks their hypocrisy is reasonable.
