+82 The guy at my tennis clinic who said girls didn't have to do push ups but he expected all the guys to is a moron, amirite?

You should prove your point by dressing up as a guy and attending your brother's prep school for 2 weeks, causing all sorts of hilarious havoc before fixing it all by scoring the final goal in a game of soccer.

We need FUNCTIONAL gender equality. Girls are naturally predisposed to have less muscle mass than guys, so 'strong for a girl' is less than 'strong for a guy'. It's like saying you don't expect a British guy to stand in the Sahara for an hour and not get sunburn, but if a Black guy couldn't resist sunburn for two hours, he's kind of a wimp.

Girls can do pushups. The weight they're pushing is their own weight. Guys will be pushing more weight of course because guys typically weigh more. If we were talking about dumbbells or something, then yeah, the average girl would have a lighter dumbbell than the average guy. The point is just because women aren't as strong it doesn't mean they can't exercise. I've seen situations like in the post where gym teacher or coach or whatever was just trying to suck up to the girls in the class which is creepy and wrong.

Wait. I thought he meant guys were REQUIRED to do push ups, but girls didn't have to, not they were banned from doing it. And their weight is not proportionally less. If it were exercises like pull ups and standing broad jump would be equally difficult for guys and girls, and girls would not get handicaps i ntests.

Thank you! I know girls who can do 200 push ups and guys who can't even do 1.

I know that boys are supposedly more strong, but to hell with that. He said that the girls should just drop their hips instead of doing a full one. Girls can do push ups.

Okay that's bullshit. Girls should be allowed to do half pushups, not fired to.

*forced to

This reminds me of a girl in my gym class who complained that the girls had to do less push ups.
