Perhaps it's because the general population of America will vote for the politician who puts on a better show, versus the boring "what can I actually do?" approach. If saying their actual plan would get them more votes, they would certainly have taken that route. The people of America don't want to see that, however, so it's actually the people's fault, if you think about it. The politicians are just the puppets.

see the thing is, neither Obama or romney can actually do the things they say they can. they cant pass some legislative act that fixes unemployment or makes the debt go away.
