New York City (or Manhattan, really) is one of the best places to be during the Christmas season, amirite?

The voters have decided that eastcoast is right! Vote on the post to say if you agree or disagree.

Ew no, the slush and the slipping and everyone gets crabbier.

Yes, iceskating, caroling, all the lights, seeing the Rockettes, the huge trees at Rockefeller Center and Bryant Park, and Times Square is always busy and filled with people gift-shopping, and dobt forget the many Santa impersonators on the streets. Also, NYc always has this great "vibe," and it shifts a little around the holiday season but still makes you feel good inside. At least that is my native take on it.

@Yes, iceskating, caroling, all the lights, seeing the Rockettes, the huge trees at Rockefeller Center and Bryant...

That's exactly what I was saying with this. Some of my best memories as a kid is going to the city and seeing Santa and going window-shopping... New York just really embodies that holiday feel
