+51 The Hunger Games series are brilliantly written, escpecially the last one. The reason I give for this is that it truly reflects Katniss's mental and emotional state. She is emotionally drained and shellshocked and it is present throughout the book. amirite?

I'm still in the middle of the last one.

I thought the last one was the worst. //All// that was focused on was everyone's mental state to the point where it was annoying and the story didn't move anywhere until the last few chapters. Even knowing her mental state, I was not able to sympathize with Katniss in the slightest. In the end, I still viewed her as heartless. The characters are entirely too flat in my opinion. It took too long for Katniss to finish stringing along Gale and Peeta and for the love triangle to be resolved, and it was done in a bad way. I actually found the writing style hard to swallow from book one. I suppose the technology and warfare were interesting, though. (It was the first time I felt that a movie was better than the book).
