and in some cases, they are more harsh than needed

No. A lot of 'sex crimes' shouldn't be considered sex crimes.

Give an example.

well I'm not sure if this is a sex crime but you can get put on the sex offender list for peeing in the bushes I think that's taking it too far

Great example. I mean if you're doing it with lots of people around, maybe an indecency citation should be given but you shouldn't be put on the same list as people who have molested children. When you gotta go, you gotta go.

they should really amend those rules you can figure out who your friendly, neighborhood sex offenders are online the ones I've checked let you know the risk level by giving their tier number that way you can sorta figure out the severity of their actions but if you're registered for peeing in the bushes it seems to me that you might be treated like crap even if it's indicated that you're low risk I made a post about it: http://www.amirite.com/750678-a-severely-mentally-disabled-person-can-pee-in-the-bushes-and-get-the-title-of-a-sex-offender it's based off an episode of //Law and Order: SVU// but peeing in the bushes can lead to being registered in real life
